The Hanyang University Portal

The HY-IN Portal is where you can follow up on your courses; see uploaded files such as readers and assignments given by the Professor. At times you will be using it to upload essays and other required works, but notice that not all Professors are using the system.

Login with your student credentials, and if you have trouble remembering your student number, make yourself a username of your choice!

If you want to use the service in English remember to change the language before logging in.

Campus Life

The Campus offers a number of facilities and services. Printing is virtually ubiquotous, and you'll find such services almost in every building. Easiest is probably the one found in the Hanyang Plaza, as it's cheap and you can pay by cash.

The Hanyang Plaza acts as the center of the Campus, and it has most  of the services you may deem necesary;

Alien Registration Card

Don't forget that when staying in Korea for over 90 days, you'll need to have your visa in check bu in addition to that you will have to register with local authorities. In other words you have 3 months to apply for an Alien Registration Card at the Immigration Office.

There are two offices where to register, but we suggest to use the one in Omokgyo as it's the one we went to. They will charge you KRW 30,000 as administration fees, even though the current website says 10,000. It is atleast what we had to pay, but if it has indeed been reduced this will be further updated. 

You may request getting the card emailed back to you, or you will have to go pick it up on a date they set. We definitely recommend getting it posted, as this will cost you an extra KRW 2,000, which is already included in the earlier mentioned fee. (To clarify, the fee is 27,000-28,000 + postage.) If you indeed want it mailed to you, make this clear when you pay for the fee. English service will be provided limitedly if at all.

Note that he fee is paid in a separate floor of the building, and you will be able to do this while you wait as the lines are usually very long. That is, when you arrive at the desk with your filled in application, you should have a receipt of payment along with you if you want the procedure to be as quick as possible.

Hanyang University Smart Campus App

The Hanyang App is available both for Android and iOS. Look for it in the store and download it to have more information concerning the campus. However, do note that alot of it will be in Korean.
